When I go on holidays I love to walk & keep fit, so wondered what scenic walking trails I can do within NSW.
Thanks!
Blue Mountains definately! The Grand Canyon trail in Blackheath is amazing and will work you out. Leura Cascade trails can lead you to 3 different waterfalls. The 6 foot track at Mount Vic can take 3 days to walk and will give a great workout. There are so many bloody trails it can take a lifetime to walk them. In every one of town here… Blue Mountains Best Bushwalks is a good book to find some of the information. News agencies carry it.

I am looking for a two week overnight hiking trip within the United States or Canada, where should I go?
Saturday, January 30th, 2010I am an experienced hiker that is looking for a beautiful two week hiking trip. I would prefer trails with little to no facilities as I have my own equipment to sustain me for two weeks.
It will be hard to beat the Appalachian Trail. Join http://whiteblaze.net/ and look around. Careful, the AT is HIGHLY addictive!
Which is the best (honest and cheap) website or travel agent to book a hiking trip in Mount Kinabalu, Sabah?
Saturday, January 30th, 2010I’m planning a trip with my 1 of my buddy there sometime end April / early May 2010. Is advance booking required? During this period, is it a raining season? Also, I would like to go on a snorkeling trip after that…which is the best destination nearby there?
To climb Mount Kinabalu, advance booking is necessary. Weather is unpredictable these days, anyway, it’s not raining season that period. Check out this page for more detail on climbing Mount Kinabalu.

The website also provide info about snorkeling in Sabah. The Tunku Abdul Rahman Park which consists of five islands would be just nice for you. Enjoy.

Should I book a tour in Costa Rica or just make the plans myself?
Saturday, January 30th, 2010My family (2 adults, 2 young kids) is considering a vacation in Costa Rica. The rainforest is calling out to us — and maybe the Pacific coast too. We’d like to hike in the forest, try a zip line, a canopy tour, see some waterfalls, monkeys, butterflies, and maybe even a volcano. Is it better to plan things myself (and rent a car) or just go with a tour?
If you want to avoid the hassle, then definitely book a tour. You will have your itinerary planned out and you won’t have to worry about a thing. There are many tour companies in Costa Rica who specialize in the adventure that you are looking for. You should have no problems finding one. You can try the TicosLand.com website. We have some travel agencies listed that can help you find what you are looking for.
You can find a lot more information about Costa Rica in the TicosLand.com website.

Why doesn’t the US government declare an "oil import holiday" to alleviate the "oil problem"?
Saturday, January 30th, 2010FDR, Roosevelt, declared a "bank holiday" when the economic system became completly out of whack. Why not impose a similar "oil import holiday" to stop the oil madness cycle??
Roosevelt declaired a "bank hoilday" to stop the run on the banks. People had paniced and all wanted to withdraw their money. Banks keep money on hand for withdrawals, but most of the money deposited in banks is then loaned to others. That is why banks can pay interest on deposits. When everyone wanted to withdraw money at the same time, there was a real possibility that the banks would fail, and many depositors could lose everything.
The situation with oil is different. The problem is that there is too little oil on the market to allow us to buy all we want at prices we feel willing to pay. That makes prices go up, making oil, and oil products too expensive for some people, thus lowering demand. If we had an "oil holiday" and imported less oil, the problem would just get worse. Prices would go higher, and fewer people would be able to afford it. The solution to the oil–the energy problem–new technology that will develop other sources of energy. Some people want prices for oil to continue to go higher. They think this will make other forms of energy "affordable"–that is, no more expensive than expensive oil. Developments in technology will eventually make it possible for us to have other sources of energy. The real question is whether or not we should use the oil resources in this country–thus lowering prices and reducing our dependance on foreign oil. Some people think we should keep oil prices high thus forcing us to adjust to higher prices which wil make other energy sources "affordable". This will be hard on people who already have trouble paying their bills. Other people think we should use the oil resources we have–thereby lowering prices in the near future–while we work to develop other forms of energy that can be produced at lower prices. The people who want to keep prices high seem to think we will not develop other forms of energy unless we are forced to do so. It makes one wonder who forced the Wright brothers to figure out how to make a plane that would fly, who forced Edison to learn how to make electricity useable as an energy source, and who forced Bill Gates to found Microsoft. There is a mountain of money to be make by anyone who can come up with a workable, affordable energy source. Probably that is incentive enough to get people to work on the problem.
